Giorgio Armani perfumes and colognes

Renowned Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani is best known for his significant impact on menswear. He initially entered the retail industry by creating department store window displays before advancing to the role of menswear buyer. He spent over a decade (1960–1972) designing for Nino Cerruti, followed by a stint as a freelance designer for multiple fashion labels. In 1975, he launched his eponymous fashion house, releasing his inaugural menswear and womenswear collections that same year. The brand reached international mainstream fame after Armani outfitted Richard Gere in sleek, modern tailoring for the film American Gigolo. This immense exposure sparked a lifelong relationship between the designer and the cinema industry, leading to many more wardrobe collaborations. Throughout the late 1970s and into the 1980s, the company rapidly diversified, launching denim, underwear, accessories, and new apparel lines at varying price points. A strategic partnership with L'Oréal also allowed the brand to enter the cosmetics and perfume space. The debut of Armani for Women in 1982 and Armani for Men in 1984 laid the foundation for a highly successful, enduring fragrance portfolio that continues to thrive today.
